"Sweet Vegetable Tea"

A Macrobiotic Healing Remedy for Crohn's Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Weight Loss, Hypoglycemia, and More!

One of the things I like most about the macrobiotic lifestyle, is their wide array of home healing remedies! Sweet vegetable tea is one of my favorite remedies that I stumbled upon when I was first diagnosed with Crohn's disease.

This tea is packed full of vitamins and minerals which are easily absorbed by the body. It is beneficial for all sorts of ailments including: Crohn's disease, Colitis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Inflammation, Constipation, Diabetes, Hypoglycemia, Sugar Cravings, Metabolism Disorders, Cleansing, and Weight Loss.

Directions:
Makes 2 quarts;

1. To make, chop (into small pieces) two cups each of green cabbage, onions, carrots, and butternut squash.

2. Next, add 4 times as much water to the pot (8 cups).

3. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes.

4. Then remove from heat and strain the tea through a strainer into jars or a pitcher.

*Note: In macrobiotics, NOTHING goes to waste so do not discard the vegetables. They taste great combined with fried rice.

This drink will last several days in the fridge. Drink 2-3 times a day for severe conditions and taper off to once a day or a few times a week as the condition improves.

Enjoy!
