Another Natural Remedy For Your Medicine Cabinet
Elderberry for Colds & Influenza
One of the best herbs one can take for the flu (especially if you are blood type O) is elderberry! A study done by Dr. Madeline Mumcuoglu showed that people who took elderberry improved twice as fast from a cold/flu than those on a placebo. In fact, 20% showed improvement within the first 24 hours, 70% within 48 hours, and 90% within 3 days! Those on a placebo took over 6 days to recover!

Directions (for Nature's Sunshine only, as that's the brand I'm familiar with):
For maintenance: 2 capsules 3x daily of Elderberry Defense (adults). For children, 2 chewables once a day.
For therapeutic effect: 3 capsules of Elderberry Defense every 2-3 hours until you start to feel better. For children, 2-3 chewables every two hours until child starts to feel better.
*For tea (that you'd find at a health food store), take 3-4 cups a day for a therapeutic effect and 1-2 times a day for maintenance!
